Star Chance

Passed away: June 9, 2010

Star Chance was around 20 years old and extremely emaciated when she came to the Centre but quickly improved due to the love and care of Sue, Rod and all the volunteers.

She became a much loved member of the Pony Club where she made friends with all the children there and joined in all their activities. Her gentle nature and her love of children made her ideal for the children of the Pony Club to practice grooming. She roamed the paddocks, and became everyone’s friend, attended all the horse tours as she knew that is where she would get her fair share of carrots and became the true star of The Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre.

Unfortunately Star Chance sadly passed away on 9 June 2010 after spending 16 happy months at the Centre. It was a great loss to everyone involved here and to all those who knew Chance. She died of Pneumonia. She was rushed to the Alicante Animal Hospital but it was too late to save her. Sadly, we cannot know Chance’s full history and as is often the case with rescue horses underlying health problems can lie dormant and may occur at any time in the future.

Chance is deeply missed at the Centre but her memory will always stay with us. Rest in Peace our beloved Star Chance.
