 OCTOBER 2008Spirit was found, along with Moses, in a field , left out day and night, through the heat of the summer and the cold nights of the winter, with no shelter and very little food or human contact. They are both less than 3 years old and are undernourished. When they first came to the rescue centre, they didn’t even understand what carrots or apples were, as they had only ever been fed poor quality forage. They are now eating us out of house and home and love a carrot! At the moment they can not bear to be parted, but as they gain confidence and trust in the people around them, they will develop in to lovely happy individual horses.

Spirit has settled in really well now at the centre, bearing in mind she could not be handled when she first arrived, she is now very inquisitive and tactile. As you can see from the picutre, she is going to make a beautiful Arab mare.
