Rescue date: 2 August 2011Mimosa is a young mare, approximately 6 ½ years old, rescued from a cage-like enclosure under gypsy ownership in San Luis and kept in an extremely malnourished state. Negotiations to secure her release lasted 4 weeks and she is now at the rescue centre and happily gaining weight. Mimosa does have a few psychological problems after her ordeal as she is a young horse; however we believe that in time she will overcome this.
